The network has not been strong enough to post updates! But they will be coming 😊. We will share about the conference, about the celebrations, and about the beautiful people of Zambia.

This morning we say goodbye to Daniel and Florence. We spent an amazing day with them in Kafue National Park visiting the Elephant release facility where they reintegrate orphans with elephant herds. We also saw a herd of Buffalo, Zebras, lots of waterbuck, a few kudus, impala, as well as many elephants, and birds.

The scariest moment happened just before sunset when we saw two vehicles in front of us and a game ranger with a rifle, and elephants on the side of the road. We didn’t really comprehend the scene as the herd moved past the first and second vehicle in our convoy with the setting sun behind them, creating a fantastic photo opportunity. However, from behind, one elephant was very upset and stormed toward the vehicles, unbeknownst to us in the front.

Needless to say, very scary at the back but we are all unharmed. The one vehicle in front of us had a puncture, and Hugh managed to help them with the game ranger keeping an eye on the elephants.

  1. I am sure it was amazing to see all of the wildlife.
The elephant interaction sounds scary, but I am happy to hear nobody was harmed.
